You really need to read between the lines and look beyond the obvious meanings of the words contained in The Holy Bible to realize that couched amongst the wise passages are more than just directions of the spiritual kind. There are countless passages that may be also read as, yes, investment guidelines!

The Bible Teaches

But then, this is hardly surprising. The Holy Bible does not only teach us how to attain our spiritual goals but also imparts education on how to lead a fruitful and productive life so that we may fulfill our duties and obligations by our loved ones. In turbulent economic times, thoughtful and prudent investment decisions go a long way in helping us carve our earthly Heaven.

Proverbs 24: 27 say, “Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.”

The writing on the wall, or rather, the meaning of the proverb, is clear—work hard, save money, and invest wisely. If you care to delve a little deeper, you will note that the words in the phrase actually ask you to curb your urge to splurge on short-term pleasures and instead invest your money in lucrative ventures to secure a better future for you and your family.

Direction Given

Most devout Christians look to The Holy Bible to give them directions to lead their lives. And in the afore-mentioned proverb, the directions are given “literally.” So after harping on the theme of investing wisely, there is also a suggestion regarding what to invest in—in “thine house.”

Multiple Options

Real estate investment scores over other kinds of investment primarily because it lets you earn money in multiple ways. You can earn from rental income, get a plum deal on its sale, and tide over inflation with income from increased rents. When you invest in a real estate property, you can be sure that you have in your kitty, an asset that historically, appreciates in value. So you see, as always, The Holy Bible has shown the way!

At this juncture, quoting another Biblical proverb won’t be out of context. Proverbs 21:5 say, “The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.”

Patience is a Virtue

Any investment needs careful planning and more so, investment in the realty sector. In the United States, there are as many as 400 unique real estate markets, each with varying prospects. So, it is imperative that you invest your hard-earned money in a market that is best suited to your requirements and investment goals. Brace yourself for hours of research to zero in on the perfect real estate market, or, leave the groundwork to a professional who has a hand on the pulse of the realty sector.
